Michelle and Yanik said I do over the weekend during a very unique country DIY wedding.

Can you believe that big boy in the basket was once this little tiny baby?!
Congratulations to Dan and Becky who tied the knot on Canada Day!

Wedding season is in full swing, lets get into it by going into the vault and looking at some great weddings that have yet to be blogged.
We’ll start with Alix and Callum, a great couple with a very unique wedding!

I feel like a say this a lot, but it’s time to catch up, I have several awesome weddings that have yet to be shared on the blog, I’ll start with Jaclyn and Ryan.
These two are soooo sweet, I also say this a lot, but…it’s true!!! From the first part of the day to the very end Jaclyn and Ryan were so wonderful to be around, their love for each other and their families was really heartwarming. They lucked out with an extremely beautiful wedding day as well. I’ll keep this part short because I have many favourites to share!

I really want to give a shout out to Jaclyn’s mom, seen here helping her with her dress, she looked so fabulous, as you will see in the photos to follow, she paired this stylish dress with a super cool hat!

A butterfly (ok, maybe a moth, but it’s a pretty one) just hanging out in Jaclyn’s hands!

These are just a few of the many very cute details Sarah and Kyle included in their recent August wedding.

Keep an eye on the blog for the rest of their beautiful wedding day!
Christine and William came all the way from Saskatchewan to PEI to celebrate their love. They left the planning and stress behind by having a private ceremony with just the two of them and saving the party for when they returned home. The day was very sweet, I like the idea of walking down the aisle with your future husband, it’s nice to go into it together.
Thank you so much for including me in this very, very special day.

I thought the gold fever story was kind of a fun coincidence…

All fixed now, sorry for any confusion.
I am so excited about photographing my childhood best friend’s family who was visiting from Ontario that I just couldn’t wait to post a few images from the session last night!

A very romantic day, a super sweet couple and a hilarious bridal party = a GREAT wedding day!

Lynda LOVES Anne of Green Gables so she arranged to have a few of the props for the wedding days photos…

This group put A LOT of effort into this jump!

I find myself smiling as I go through these images because Lynda and Mike are so sweet and kind and I can’t help but be extremely happy for them, congratulations!!
I also want to mention that Lynda had a beauty dream team working with her and her bridesmaids on the wedding day. Savannah Belsher-MacLean did the makeup and Sharon Keller did the hair, if you are planning for next year book early, these two are in high demand!
Congrats to all the couples getting married this weekend!

Leonard & Marie are my great Aunt and Uncle, they are 93 years old and have been married for over 70 years!! They still live on their own (in their eclectically decorated home) and for 93, are in relatively good health. Marie is a knitter and card player extraodinaire and Leonard is happy to serenade you with one of his many instruments.
Take a moment for your family this weekend!

I think it’s so interesting that I am photographing Kait and Shad’s wedding, let me tell you why…I used to live in a small town just outside of Ottawa, called Stittsville, in Stittsville there was a small store called Showbiz, Showbiz was THE place to go, they had movies, candy, mags and more, everything a kid could want. Why am I telling you this, because Showbiz was owned by Shad’s parents!
A few years later I moved to slightly larger place outside of Ottawa named Kanata where Shad and I attended the same high school! Him a year older than I but both of us graduating the same year because Ontario decided to finally get rid of grade 13. Our paths then met again when we both decided to attend UPEI after graduating. Now, we both live here on this lovely Island!! Crazy, huh?!
I know to most Islanders it wouldn’t be much of a story to say you are photographing the wedding of someone who’s parents owned store in your neighbourhood or someone who went to high school with you, but I think it’s pretty great since that neighbourhood and that high school are over a thousand kilometers away from here!

Countdown is on until the big day! See you this weekend!
